noun: paradox; plural noun: paradoxes
- a statement or proposition that, despite sound (or apparently sound) reasoning from acceptable premises, leads to a conclusion that seems senseless, logically unacceptable, or self-contradictory.”a potentially serious conflict between quantum mechanics and the general theory of relativity known as the information paradox”
I love a good paradox, and in so many ways great leadership is a total paradox. Just a couple of quick ones:
1: VISION: Leaders must be a visionary, yet they cannot see everything in the future and must admit it.
2: CONTROL: Leaders must model being under control instead of pretending to be in control.
3: ACCOUNTABILITY: Leaders must model humanity and identify with the limitations of followers while at the same time maintaing unwavering standards and hold all accountable to said standards.
4: LOVE: Leaders must model an anchored life acting from strong moral character, not emotion…while at the same time modeling ultimate care and concern for their followers.
Any other paradoxes?
