Great reading this AM… brought forth many thoughts…you know a factor in anyone’s personal development comes in the area of relationships. One can tell a lot about which direction your life is heading by looking at the people whom you’ve chosen to spend time and share ideas with. Their values and priorities directly impact you…. the way you think… the way you process…and the way you act. If we are hanging with positive people dedicated to growth and new ideas… then their values and priorities will encourage us and reinforce a desire to grow and improve.
I know it is not always comfortable to hang with people who are ahead of you in their growth–but it is always profitable. Try to cultivate relationships with those people who can help you grow, but DON’T think purely in terms of what YOU gain… always bring something to the table yourself–because you have BIG value and will add to the person that may be slightly ahead of you. We have got to make any relationship a win-win or it won’t really last.
Hold on to instruction, do not let it go;
guard it well, for it is your life.
Do not set foot on the path of the wicked
or walk in the way of evildoers.
Avoid it, do not travel on it;
turn from it and go on your way.
